St Piran’s Day 5th March

Two ‘ansome recipes for you to get in the St Piran’s Day spirit, you can’t get more Cornish than the Traditional Cornish Pasty (which if you didn’t know already has recieved Protected Geographical Indication status). Also we have Heva Cake, this recipe is a traditional Cornish recipe used by the fishermen’s wives over many years when their husbands were returning from their fishing trips.  It is said that by the time the fishermen pulled into shore from the first sighting of their return, the wives would have time and make and bake this cake ready for their welcome home. If neither of those tickle your fancy then try one of these recipes from Anne’s Tray-Bake Demo, all the recipes from the day are here. So there you go, there’s no excuse not to get baking this weekend!
