Beef Burgers with Balsamic Onions

1lb Lobbs Minced Beef

Handful of fresh parsley, chopped

1 Red Onion, chopped

2 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar

1 tbsp Caster Sugar

1 tbsp Tomato Puree

Gently heat a couple of tablespoons of oil in a heavy frying pan and slowly caramelise the onions, stirring often to keep them from burning. When the onions have softened add the caster sugar, stir for a couple more minutes until sugar has dissolved before adding the balsamic vinegar. Keep them very gentling sizzling away for a while until they’re looking lovely! Whilst these are doing, chop the parlsey and add to the beef mince with tomato puree. After roughly 20 minutes or so, the onions should be done. Scrape the lovely caramelised contents of the frying pan into the burger mix and combine well, forming into about 4 burgers. Pop them in the fridge for at least an hour to set then shove ‘em on the grill!

note: When I made these burgers I found them quite crumbly on the grill. The addition of an egg yolk to help combine the ingredients may be helpful
