(Ring biscuits)


750g plain flour

2½ tspns baking powder

2 tspns cinnamon

250g caster sugar

250ml orange juice (fresh or carton)

125ml olive oil

125ml sunflower oil

150g sesame seeds


Makes approx 80 biscuits

Sieve flour, baking powder & cinnamon.

Stir in the sugar

Add orange juice & oils & mix to a soft dough

Take a piece of dough, approx 2cm diameter & roll into a sausage about 5 inches long. Dip one edge lightly in the sesame seeds, shape into a ring, one end overlapping the other & place on a lightly greased baking sheet.

Bake at 180°C for approx 20 mins until golden in colour. Leave to cool & a wire rack.
