Apple & Date Chutney
Makes approx 2 jam jars
450g Bramley apples
75g Natures Garden dates
3 Hambleden Herbs cloves
200ml Aspall cider vinegar
75g Natures Garden dark soft brown sugar
Peel & roughly chop the apples into small pieces
Add the apples to a saucepan with the dates, cloves, cider vinegar & sugar
Bring to the boil then reduce the heat & simmer for about 25mins until the apples are soft & the liquid almost completely reduced.
Leave to cool slightly before potting up in sterilised jam jars
Delicious served with Cornish cheeses or cold meats & jacket spuds.
