Plum Jam

6lb Plums

1 Pint water

6lb Sugar

Cut the plums in half and remove the stones. Take the kernels from some of the stones, blanch them in boiling water, and put halved kernels with the fruit. Put fruit, water and kernels into a pan and simmer until the fruit is very soft: Stir sugar until dissolved, then boil hard to setting point. Pour into hot jars
